What does a successful Senior Systems Engineer (transmissions) do at Fiserv?
We are seeing a skilled and experienced File Transfer system (Sterling File Gateway) Tier 3 expert to join our team. The individual in this role will be responsible for providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting and optimization of the Sterling File Gateway platform. This role involves addressing complex incidents and service requests ensuring smooth operation and assisting with ongoing project work like implementing new products.
What you will do:
- Provide expert-level support for Sterling File Gateway, including troubleshooting and advanced. resolution of technical issues.
- Troubleshoot integration issues with third-party applications.
- Monitor health and performance of SFG including conducting root cause analysis of performance issues.
- Support Implementation, Deployment of updates, patches and enhancements to SFG platform.
- Design, Configure and manage workflows within SFG system.
- Ensure Security, integrity and compliance if transfer system.
- Remediate any vulnerabilities.
- Participate in on call rotation (including weekends).
What you will need to have:
- 5+ years of experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway or Similar File Transfer solution (e.g, AS2, FTP, SFTP).
- 5+ years of experience with File Transfer Protocols, security protocols (SSL/TLS), encryption mechanism.
- 5+ years of experience working in server and network Infrastructure, including load balancing cluster.
- 5+ years of experience with Linux/AIX servers.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a relevant field, and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Certifications with IBM Sterling or similar managed file transfer technology.
- Experience with other IBM Solutions like Sterling B2B Integrator.
- Experience with Windows Servers.
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies and DevOps.
- Familiarity with databases(SQL, DB2).
