Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Developer with 5 to 7 years of experience to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be on the generation of reports using SQL, relational databases, and visualization tools like Tableau. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data modeling, data privacy, and segmentation, along with experience in ETL processes and ServiceNow reporting. This role requires excellent analytical, communication, and critical thinking skills to deliver high-quality, actionable insights to stakeholders.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts for report generation.
- Work with relational databases, with a preference for experience in Postgres.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualizations to present data insights effectively.
- Ensure data privacy and security by implementing proper data segmentation and access controls.
- Optimize and troubleshoot existing reports and data pipelines for performance and accuracy.
- Leverage ServiceNow for reporting purposes, including creating and customizing reports as needed.
- Participate in ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Analyze data trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Document reporting processes, data models, and workflows for future reference.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in report generation and data analysis.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (Postgres is a plus).
- Knowledge of data modeling, data privacy, and data segmentation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau for developing dashboards and visualizations.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, particularly in the context of reporting, is a plus.
- Understanding of ETL processes and tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions to complex data challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Service Now CMDB Experience is a plus
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker) is a plus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their data services is a plus.
