About the Team
Workday is looking for talented, passionate, software engineers to support developers extending Workday's capabilities as part of the Workday Integrate team. You will be joining a full stack development team who is responsible for new and existing features, along with scalability and performance of the Orchestrate product.
About the Role
Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs distributed software programs for enhancements and new products across multiple disciplines and multiple platforms. Capable of designing and implementing software able to manage the tradeoffs between data consistency, availability, partition tolerance. Develop, design and deploy software and tools in support of a data processing system, including highly concurrent transaction processing, distributed memory management, communication protocols, and efficient distributed data algorithms.
About You
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of distributed systems engineering experience utilizing one or more of the following: Kotlin, Java, Scala, Python, Golang
- 3+ year experience with front end technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, and related frameworks
Other Qualifications
Expert level HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript skills
Expert level Kotlin and Spring framework skills
Previous experience with cloud development tooling
Experience working in an Agile environment
Previous experience creating websites from scratch
Knowledge of common design patterns and when to use them
Proficiency with major development tools and processes such as IDEs, revision control, and continuous delivery
