Description:You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Advanced Programs team. Our team is responsible for improving producibility of early designs, creating manufacturing plans and processes for the Advanced Programs line of business in support of the evolving demands of the Warfighter.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be primarily focused on ensuring designs are producible (Design for Manufacture) in a full rate manufacturing environment and at a competitive cost (Design to Cost). Your responsibilities will include:
• Evaluate designs and provide manufacturing feedback.
• Develop or mature manufacturing readiness assessments.
• Build proposals, MESOWs, and BOEs ensuring that customer needs are met.
• Assess make or buy decision.
• Create manufacturing bill of materials (MBOMs).
• Support fabrication of early development builds, including traveling to other make sites or suppliers.
• Present at various design and manufacturing reviews.
• Effectively collaborate with other Manufacturing Engineers, Production Operations, Program Management, and Engineer and Technology stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline
• Must have a current Secret security clearance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Experience with Manufacturing / Assembly / Production processes
• Experience with creating/reviewing work instruction
Desired Skills:• CREO Design Experience or other CAD program
• Electrical background
• Ability to work independently and as a group with little guidance.
• Experience with MPMLink
• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
