Job Summary and Qualifications
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Assistant Vice President of ICC serves as a key member of the Executive Management Team and is primarily responsible for providing direction and leadership to ICC by working effectively across the ICC lines of business to integrate and promote service offerings.
SUPERVISOR: President/CMO
ICC DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Present Intensive Care Consortium, Inc.’s ICU Model of Care – lead ICC to achieve its overall vision and to ensure ICC attains its long team growth objectives of establishing the company as a driver for the global growth by:
- Develop, drive and maintain Division level meetings with Presidents, CFOs, and CMOs.
- Effectively network with Hospital level meetings with CEOs, CFOs, CNOs, and CMOs to ensure relevant input into ICC strategic direction and project strategies.
- Maintain awareness of industry advances to ensure business model and service offerings remains dynamic, innovative and competitive.
- Provide program assessments to hospitals.
• Program Development
- Accountable for financial operating results and review of monthly financials for accurate representation of business operations.
- Accountable for the annual operational budget.
- Manage contract negotiations to successful closure ensuring both ICC and the customer have a clear understanding of contract obligations and clinical/financial expectations.
- Develop new clinical initiatives in cooperation with President and Regional Medical Directors.
• Program Quality and Financial Performance o Review/ analyze financial performance by program with the support of the corporate finance team.
- Review/ analyze quality metrics by program in conjunction with the President of ICC and corporate clinical support.
- Prepare and present monthly, and quarterly operating reviews to corporate with assistance of the corporate finance team and the Division Director.
- Prepare operating report and present to ICC Board of Directors quarterly meeting.
• Operations Management
- Manage relationship with ICC, HCAPS and HCA Divisions/Hospitals.
- Coordinate response to ICC customer requests for program reporting and questions related to the customer contract
- Manage administrative issues o Manage Division Director and entire ICC operations
- Review and approve: Travel expenses, Concur, Accounts Payable, On Base, Management vacation time
• Strategic Planning
- Business development meetings with both HCA and non HCA potential clients
- Develop models and plans for regional and national growth
EDUCATION:
- A Master’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Nursing is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Nursing is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of five years management experience in a Hospital setting preferred.
- Effective working knowledge of healthcare systems management for clinical operations.
- Experience working with Hospitalist programs specific to Intensive Care a plus.
- Multiple years of experience communicating with C-Suite Executives and Physicians required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
- ACMPE Certification is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives.
- Knowledge of health care administration systems.
- Knowledge of hospital based physician services.
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary team development.
- Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements related to clinical practice. Displays consistent behavior that enhances the public image of the organization as evidenced by professionalism, interaction with peers, customers, vendors, etc.

- Ability to travel up to 50% when needed.
