Who You Are
Functions as a technical specialist who makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far-reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities.
This role will be located in the Chantilly, VA area. The Civil Engineer will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly, VA and Springfield, VA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
What You’ll Do
As a Civil Engineer, you will:
- Studies, designs, specs, and services transportation systems (i.e., road, rail, airport, seaport), bridges, infrastructure, drainage, underground utilities, hydrology/hydraulics, water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, water resources and raw water supply, tunnels, geotechnical design, and other civil engineering works.
- Functions as a technical specialist who makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far-reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities.
- Negotiates critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies.
- Performs advisory and consulting work for the organization as a recognized authority for broad program areas or in an intensely specialized area.
- Other duties as required.
