About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Credit Risk & Approval Officer to become part of Wells Fargo's second line of defense and Independent Risk Management team, covers jobs that monitor and manage the credit exposure within Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking portfolios and transactions, approve loans in excess of line authority levels, continually review counterparty credit-worthiness, and develop credit exposure methodologies in conjunction with risk analytic systems that are aligned with Board-approved risk appetite.
In this role, you will:- Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross-functional with broad impact.
- Act as key participant in monitoring and reviewing group loans, underwriting, and portfolio management performance for Credit Risk & Approval.
- Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term business, operational, or technical challenges.
- Provide in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including structuring, pricing, and documentation.
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Interact with internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of Credit Risk & Approval or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- 5+ years of Commercial Banking experience.
- Exceptionally skilled at developing partnerships and collaborating with other businesses and functional areas.
- Keen analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root causes, recommend effective solutions, and present to multiple levels of management.
- Strong risk acumen to include experience with Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) or equivalent risk management programs.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- MBA degree or equivalent experience in banking and finance.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) skills.

Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
