Key Responsibilities:
KBR is seeking a Maritime Operations Subject Matter Expert/Modeler to join a multi-disciplinary team consisting of operational military and intelligence subject matter experts (SMEs), operations research analysts, modelers, and software engineers who conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of emerging concepts for the Defense Advanced Projects Research Agency (DARPA) using advanced MS&A techniques and tools. The selected candidate will:
- Have expert knowledge of US Navy, maritime, and/or submarine systems and employment concepts and their contribution to the execution of kill chains and kill webs.
- Have thorough understanding of maritime and/or submarine control measures and battle management command and control (BMC2) concepts and employment.
- Assist with the identification and transformation of military or threat naval doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures into products that inform the development of behaviors and decision structures in the simulation software.
- Contribute expertise during the conduct of studies for senior-level military decision makers, technology developers, and acquisition professionals for use in CONOPS development, force structure design, resource allocation, and targeted technology insertion.
- Develop and/or instantiate platform and system models, model behaviors, and model hierarchies in the designated modeling & simulation (M&S) environment as needed.
- Lead small teams or tasks in support of the broader overall effort.
- Contribute to the development of quality written, diagrammatic, and analytic deliverables.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and at least 12 years of relevant experience in naval or submarine operations
- Direct tactical and operational experience with Aegis air defense, anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, and/or maritime strike tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Direct experience developing maritime concepts of operation and/or courses of action in support of Joint or Service Component Operational Planning efforts
- US military Joint Qualified Officer designation
Desired:
- Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and at least 14 years of relevant experience in naval or submarine operations
- Experience supporting analytical studies of military operations
- At least two (2) years of experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques and tools
- Recent M&S experience using AFSIM, NGTS, or similar mission-level combat modeling environments

Basic Compensation:
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
