The Labor & Employee Relations Representative provides strategic Labor Relations advice and counsel to Aeronautics leadership team members supporting represented employees located in Fort Worth, TX. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to collaborate with Labor Relations practitioners, as well as technical, engineering, and production operation clients in support of the development, manufacture, and sustainment of the most sophisticated aircrafts in the world.
Advises and counsels client organizations in the administration of labor contracts, using metrics and analytics for business-based decisions. Negotiates and/or supports labor negotiating activities in a variety of roles. Conducts workplace investigations related to employee misconduct, performance and grievance disputes. Prepares investigative reports and summaries in preparation of disciplinary action. Advocates arbitrations. Executes case preparation and analysis, develops risk mitigation strategy and settlement strategy, ensures stakeholder alignment, including business leadership.
Advises, counsels and coaches leaders in such areas as: labor contract interpretation/administration and company policy; employee relations, compensation, staffing and workforce planning, and culture in a unionized environment.
Labor professionals may also participate in collective bargaining activities, including but not limited to: setting of negotiation strategy, planning and execution, leading the project management team to closure (costing, language development and sub-committee leadership as appropriate), and other critical negotiating roles.
Collaborates with Human Resources Business Partners to create/build leadership capability for represented and non-represented employees and leverages Lockheed Martin cultural principles to do so. Coaches leaders on positive employee relations and union avoidance. Interfaces with union representatives to build effective union-company relations. Assist leaders and employees at all levels by developing and consistently demonstrating effective communication and conflict management. Regularly involved in dispute resolution, coaching, discipline process, and people movement. Partners with Human Resources Business Partners and relevant Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COE) to deliver human resources programs and results-driven solutions. Drives lateral connectivity and collaboration within Human Resources and across the enterprise. Delivers data-driven people solutions that are efficient, effective, and flexible.
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resource Management, Labor Relations, Psychology, Employment Law or a related field
- Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)/ contract interpretation and administration
- Ability to evaluate, maintain and enhance positive employee relations between union officials, leaders and employees
- Microsoft office tools
Desired Skills:- Effective investigative techniques
- Ability to interact effectively in a conflict and matrixed environment
- Ability to prepare and deliver persuasive and well-organized ideas in both written and verbal form
- Certification(s) in the labor relations discipline
- Familiar with HRIS system and/or PeopleSoft software
- Capability to engage, influence, collaborate, and develop credibility among functional and program leadership, union leadership, and HR/LR colleagues
- Ability to build effective relationships and partner with business leaders to influence labor relations practices, the Fort Worth and off-site locations, as well as Aeronautics' Labor Relations, in order to execute labor Relations strategy & foundational philosophies
- Ability to manage and settle grievances through mutually agreeable outcomes in accordance with collective bargaining agreement
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to complete investigations
- Administering employee discipline as appropriate

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
