About Position / Position Summary:
The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Information Technology Senior Manager to join the SAP S/4 Center of Excellence to manage and run the Platform and Application Operations in Bengaluru, India.
The SAP Platform and Application Operations Manager is a driven senior manager responsible for leading SAP Basis, SAP HANA, and Security functions of the organization. This manager is also responsible for Application support, Release Management and Test automation. Collectively the teams are responsible for maintaining the technical foundation to allow our SAP S/4 landscape to function at a high level, providing excellent service to our application teams and our end users.
The role owns both the platform and the application operations across the SAP technical landscape. Through close relationships with IT architecture SAP applications, the Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, tuning, and monitoring of new SAP S/4 solutions added to our landscape, and supporting any required development by ensuring we balance meeting business requirements while maintaining our objective of a clean core and easily supported environments.
The individual is expected to be an expert in global organization management with the ability to handle team members dispersed across multiple United States (US) sites as well as other global locations outside of US. strong business acumen and excellent partnership skills are of paramount to work in demanding and highly skilled work environment to collaborate and influence people and decisions from the stakeholders and other IT divisions. The role reports to the executive director and the individual is expected to lead a team of Senior Managers and individual contributors in higher levels.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages and integrates employee and first-level manager activities across Information Technologies including infrastructure design and administration, application analysis and design, information management, architecture, computing security, computing project support and/or process analysis
Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages and provides developmental opportunities for employees and mid-level managers
Lead BASIS, infrastructure, DB, security, Release Management, Test Automation and Application support
Manages the SAP technical landscape, including MDG ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
Supports the implementation, configuration, tuning, and monitoring of new SAP solutions, as well as any required development.
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and automation within the SAP environment.
Ensures SAP systems comply with relevant security standards and regulations.
Measure, track, and correct outcomes based on metrics including Service Level Agreements (SLA), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), user-experience, and customer satisfaction.
This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION.
15+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership
15+ years of experience within information technology
10+ years of experience in organization management
15+ years of experience working within a global team
5+ years of experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change in SAP S/4 environment
Possesses deep knowledge of SAP systems, including SAP Basis, HANA, Solution Manager, and related technologies.
Able to travel both domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
15+ years of experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of an organization
15+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT) systems
5+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams
8+ years of experience with SAP Basis administrative duties
4+ years’ experience in technical project management for SAP Operations or Implementation
SAP NetWeaver, OS/DB migration, SAP HANA certifications.
Experience and certifications with IaaS Providers (MS Azure)
Cloud security including Cyber Security, Encryption, and key management knowledge.
