Job Summary and Qualifications
The Division Director of Nursing Operations promotes high quality, patient-centered care by ensuring efficient and effective deployment of nursing initiatives and processes to support patient care across the division. The Director assumes responsibility for the functions of assigned units to include the Virtual Care Center.
What you will do in this role:
- Interface with cross-functional division leadership to oversee nursing initiatives and strategies across the division.
- Oversee expansion projects within the department with anticipated future growth. This includes, but is not limited to the oversight of recruitment, hiring, and cross training activities to achieve optimal staffing requirements for assigned departments.
- Maintain active participation of strategic planning process with hospital and division leadership.
- Assist in the development of clinical protocols that use evidence-based best practices to provide consistency and drive performance outcomes within the Virtual Care Center.
- Interpret telemetry data for the purpose of identifying patterns, trends, and variances across company operations.
- Accept responsibility for management of multiple levels of personnel, payroll, budget, capital, business plan, and physician relationships.
- Provide feedback to corporate and division on telemetry and virtual care nursing initiatives, standards of care, cross-functional initiatives, and clinical processes based on key performance metrics.
- Engage with individual facilities to identify unique clinical/operational needs and assist with the development of action plans that are consistent with the mission of HCA. Evaluate ongoing productivity targets and benchmarks and recommends adjustments as necessary.
- Build strategic alliances and partnerships within the organization to collaboratively execute business strategies.
- Develop and maintain external relationships to promote and enhance community engagement and recruitment.
- Prioritize potential initiatives to ensure maximum benefit and utilization of financial and personnel resources; Assist in the development of budgets for new nursing programs/services and assures they are reviewed, approved, recorded and initiated.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing, healthcare-related field, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.
- 1+ years of experience in hospital analytics strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in hospital operations required.
