Job Summary
At KBR/Fort Cavazos, we're seeking a driven Tool and Parts Attendant candidate to join our Aviation Maintenance Team to help support Aviation Flight Operations and Aircraft Maintenance Operations. Your contributions will be instrumental in efficiently executing aircraft maintenance on the AH-64E and CH-47F Rotary Wing Aircraft. To include the associated Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE). Your efforts will ensure Aviation Maintenance and Flight Operations stay on schedule.
The Aviation and Ground maintenance tool rooms provides temporary utilization of tools to technicians for mission accomplishment without adding low density or bulky items to individual hand receipts. Allowing aircraft mechanics to use robust hand, power, GSE, TMDE, and special tooling when needed. The tool room demands constant oversight and accountability reviews, including frequent inventories to ensure compliance with Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) procedures, as well as Personal Protective Equipment compliance. Works independently or with occasional supervision.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Sets, maintains, and issues gauges, tools, and measuring instruments for use by manufacturing and to inspect in-process and final machined parts.
- Forecasts, requests, processes, issues, stocks, and turns-in special tools for aircraft and AGSE.
- Uses the Tool Room Management System (TRMS) to manage all tools.
- Ensures that items requiring calibration are enrolled in a comprehensive calibration program in accordance with Army Regulations, DA Pamphlets, Training Bulletins, and Technical Circulars.
- Manages the Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) system and coordinates the calibration schedule with the local TMDE facility.
- Notifies the Lead Tool and Parts Attendant of any delays in performance.
- Maintains accountability of all items tracked within TMRS.
- Work involves working shifts (day shift, mid-shift, and late shift).
- Work is completed in an Aviation Hangar at West Fort Cavazos.
- The candidate will be exposed to extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, and rain) and will be subject to loud noises and dust.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 2- years’ experience (Military Aviation, Tool Room Management, Stock Clerk or Supply Technician)
- Must have a Texas Driver’s License
- Must be able to lift to 25 pounds or more
- Must be on a shift schedule involving day shift, mid-shift, and night shift
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with TRMS
- Familiar with TMDE program
