The Enterprise Certification Processes Team is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Certification Systems Engineer - Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness to join our team in Everett, Washington. The Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness (RA&A) Enterprise Certification Processes team is centrally responsible for integration of certification processes across our Global Enterprise (Commercial, Defense and Global Services). Team members grow to become experts in the certification business and solve technical issues across the certification value stream. We are owners of processes and documents, manage change and drive efficiency/ease of compliance all from a variety of sources. Understanding of the Boeing ODA Procedures Manual (BPM) and affected processes and procedures is strongly desired. Experience working with the FAA is also strongly desired. This position will interface with ODA Unit members such as Project Administrators and Engineering Unit Members. Position Responsibilities:
- Participates in identifying, analyzing, and assessing regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services
- Supports defining and validating airworthiness and regulatory compliance requirements and provides support incorporating into designs, operations, and procedures
- Supports the review of simple or routine regulatory and customer requirements and evaluation of impact to company products and services
- Supports analysis of regulatory and certification technical data for completeness
- Supports creating a compliance statement for the airworthiness of aerospace systems and products
- Contributes to the research, investigation and monitoring of compliance processes or reported in-service fleet issues for achieving regulatory compliance
- Provides simple technical support, training, tools and resources to the delegated approval organization
- Reviews and maintains compliance reports and documents in accordance with applicable requirements and regulations
- Participates in establishing and promoting global regulatory advocacy strategies, trainings, tools, and methods
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experience working directly with the FAA and/or ODA on Type Certification projects
- 5+ years of experience in developing and/or contributing to processes, policies, and procedures in a regulated industry
- 5+ years of experience working in the Aerospace industry
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience working within the certification value stream
- Experience with certification processes Boeing uses to comply with 14 CFR 21.93, 21.95, 21.97 and 12.101
- Experience communicating verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences including FAA representation, ODA Leadership, Engineering Unit Members (E-UM) & Project Administrators (PA), and Program & Functional Leaders
- Experience identifying web application impact due to changes in certification requirements
- Systems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide reaching and longer term impacts
- Experience developing presentations and presenting to multiple levels of an organization
- Experience investigating and finding solutions to complex technical or regulatory issues
- Experience recognizing and balance conflicting priorities
- Strong technical writing abilities
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience writing, reviewing, or approving Certification plans a plus
- Experience working post-production Type certificates, particularly supplemental type certificates (STC’s) a plus

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range Mid-Level: $105,550 - $141,450
Summary pay range Senior: $128,350 - $173,650
