Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the floors of the hospital by performing routine cleanings as scheduled. You will also perform a variety of housekeeping and maintenance duties to keep the hospital neat, orderly, and sanitary.
- You will maintain the floors in patient rooms, public areas, bathrooms, and offices
- You will set up, operate, and maintain all floor care equipment
- You will maintain hard surface floors on a daily basis by mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing and refinishing
- You will pick up and transport all waste materials including linens, trash bags, and medical waste
- You will move equipment and furniture throughout the facility and perform room setups as requested
- You will be a supportive and positive hospital team member
- You will communicate with hospital team members and supervisors regularly and effectively
Job Requirements
Experience
- 1 year of previous floor care experience – strongly preferred
Education
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent – preferred
