Job Summary and Qualifications
The ED Paramedic provides high quality, patient-centered care within a defined scope of practice, according to certifications, state and local regulations, and facility policy. As a vital member of the healthcare team, the ED Paramedic gathers pertinent patient data, monitors vital signs, administers specified treatments and medications within the scope of practice, and ensures patient and personal safety in a hazard-free environment. TheED Paramedic delivers compassionate, holistic care, supporting the rights and dignity of all patients and promoting the vision/mission/values of the organization.
What qualifications you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP)
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have 2 years of experience

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Other hospital services include labor/delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, and diagnostic services.
