Role Description
The Systems and Process Senior Financial Analyst role will primarily focus on supporting various aspects of the overall Innovative Medicine Finance, Financial Systems Landscape, to ensure information is produced in a standardized way, while also providing local business insights to support and influence data driven decisions. This includes financial close support, data analytics for system troubleshooting, data management, system security, compliance, business projects, and system enhancement and optimization initiatives. These responsibilities require building effective cross functional partnerships for coordinating, supporting, and leading assigned projects and phases of other projects for US Innovative Medicine Finance as well as contributing to corporate wide standardization initiatives within Global Finance. Business partners include GFS, Commercial Finance, Financial Reporting, Tax, Supply Chain Finance, Global IT, Systems Security, Corporate and other project management personnel. This role will also partner within US Innovative Medicine Finance and other functional areas, when applicable, to document and analyze current business, financial and data utilization practices leveraging process excellence tools.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge expert in financial system integrations ensuring accurate system structures to enable financial processes.
- Identify and implement efficiency opportunities leveraging current systems or adoption of new processes.
- Preparing business recommendations, validating and measuring improvement opportunities and communicating solutions to leadership
- Provide technical and system support ensuring appropriate master data setup to enable accurate financial postings for system integrations and daily business operations.
- Liaison between Finance and IT, facilitating the translation of business requirements and issues into system solutions and actions.
- Lead and work collaboratively with IT, Corporate and Business to validate and effectively deploy system integrations.
- Work with business partners at various levels on data governance for key programs, ensuring systems are enhanced with common data standards for optimal integration.
- Manages access reviews, interface reconciliations and period end close responsibilities.
- Provide business support during close and forecast cycles including reporting, data loads and reconciliation analysis.
- Lead on IT audit engagement and deliverables for the GTN application
- Manage timelines to ensure responsibilities occur timely, accurately and in accordance with SOX requirements.
- Interface with various levels of management across multiple IT functions coordinating, supporting, leading, and delivering on project timelines.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting, Economics or Finance. Master’s/MBA degree preferred. A CPA, CMA or other financial certifications preferred.
- A minimum 3 years of finance, accounting or related business experience is required. Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device preferred.
- Individual must work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively take on leadership roles, required.
- Ability to lead a team to deliver on system implementations within critical timeline, required.
- Strong technical, analytical, problem solving and system skills, required.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP functions).
- The ability to understand and assess the underlying financial and internal control linkages to business processes is required.
- Knowledge and experience working with SAP systems environment and demonstrated process excellence experience is preferred.
- Experience using and implementing enhancements to financial systems is preferred. Must possess the ability to partner with associates at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with system enhancement process, project implementation, and testing protocol is required.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills.
- Requires a highly motivated individual, with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and proven leadership skills.
- Ability to work well in a dynamic environment, think creatively and be able to recommend and implement process improvements is required.
- This position is located in either Horsham, Pennsylvania or Titusville, New Jersey and may require up to 10% travel.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $77,000- $124,200
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
