This lawyer will primarily support the company’s provision of services to enterprise merchants and financial institution clients with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating customer agreements. As Counsel, you will provide regulatory advice on laws and rules relating to these services as well as counsel senior business and sales executives. You will play a key role in advising business partners on legal, contractual, and risk matters, partnering with product teams to commercialize new products, and contributing to strategic initiatives and technology projects.
What you will do:
- Work directly with business unit representatives to prepare and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Advise business partners on legal, contractual, and risk matters impacting their business unit or product set.
- Partner with product teams to commercialize new products and functionality.
- Provide consultation and legal advice with respect to strategic initiatives and technology projects.
- Develop and maintain forms of contracts and other legal documentation.
What you will need to have:
- JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in an appropriate jurisdiction.
- In good standing with the State Bar with no disciplinary record.
- 5+ years of experience in negotiating, drafting, and redlining contracts and providing regulatory guidance.
- Knowledge of financial services industry or technology laws and regulations applicable to technology services and software licensing.

- Technical contract experience.
