Overview
ABM is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to oversee payroll operations for approximately 300 employees at Miami International Airport. This role is responsible for reconciling time punches, processing payroll, and generating reports related to overtime, attendance, and compliance. Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability is required. This is Full-Time, Onsite Role located at Miami International Airport.
Essential Duties
- Process Payroll
- Collect, review, and reconcile employee time and attendance data.
- Process weekly or bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Audit and verify payroll data for compliance and accuracy prior to submission.
- Timekeeping & Reconciliation
- Investigate and correct timecard exceptions such as missed punches and unauthorized overtime.
- Maintain employee schedules, PTO balances, and attendance records.
- Coordinate with supervisors and department leads to validate timekeeping entries.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Generate reports related to overtime, absenteeism, tardiness, and payroll summaries.
- Monitor and report trends in labor cost and compliance with FLSA and Florida wage laws.
- Prepare documentation to support audits and internal controls.
- Employee Support
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, time punches, and paycheck discrepancies.
- Educate employees on clock-in/out procedures and payroll protocols.
- Coordinate with HR on employee status updates such as new hires, terminations, and transfers.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of payroll or timekeeping experience in a high-volume environment.
- Experience processing payroll for large workforces (preferably unionized) is strongly preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data validation).
- Hands-on experience with timekeeping and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Kronos, UKG).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability is required.
- Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of FLSA, Florida wage and hour laws, and overtime regulations.
- Familiarity with attendance policies, leave tracking, and payroll reporting best practices.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Team player who works well under pressure and with cross-functional teams
