About your role:
In this role you will lead the iSeries and other major software release planning and implementation. You will configure, plan, and manage implementation of system hardware upgrades and function as the technical lead on larger projects.
What you’ll do:
- Implementing and maintaining procedures to collect performance metrics and produce system performance and capacity reports
- Perform analyses (e.g., performs technical research to assess system performance and capacity)
- Manage and maintain 24x7 uptime on the iSeries systems including client related connectivity, application, and platform issues
- Research products, solutions, technologies, and apply results to create presentations/documentation
- Establish and implement auditing standards and present evidence to the auditors (internal and external) for PCI, FFIEC, and SOC assessments
- Work with business leaders to provide support, advice, and guidance on the correct application of a products/technology solutions
- Apply your technical expertise to support the deployment of technology architecture and the total system solution
- Perform Tier 3 Security functions such as build and support iSeries security infrastructure
Experience you’ll need to have:
- 6+ years of engineering experience with iSeries systems architecture
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience
Experience that would be great have:
- Experience with systems performance management
- Experience with ISeries software, engineering & design
- Experience with networking and data communications
How you’ll work:
- This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment
