What does a successful Technical Project Specialist do?
As a Technical Project Specialist at Fiserv, you play a critical role in ensuring the success of our new client implementations within Bank Solutions. You will be responsible for installing new products or updates, providing technical product training, and supporting clients throughout the implementation process. Your expertise and dedication help us deliver outstanding financial services experiences.
What you will do:
- Perform remote and/or on-site software installations and deployments.
- Provide follow-up product support and troubleshooting via telephone, email, and web-based contact channels.
- Submit requests to various teams to build and configure the product/environment for the client.
- Deliver professional and timely client communications regarding project updates, support items, and product implementation services.
- Track, organize, and document all product implementation and support-related activities thoroughly.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of technical documentation (hardware/software requirements, end-user information, internal procedures).
- Develop and maintain full knowledge of Fiserv products and services while staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
What you will need to have:
- Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field and/or equivalent military experience.
- 2+ years of experience with customer service, completing customer-facing implementations, or experience in the IT service industry.
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Workstation and Server operating systems, physical and virtual environments.
- Basic understanding of data communications and LAN/WAN, including TCP/IP communication, IP Addresses, IP Subnets, and NAT.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%, as needed.
- Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends occasionally, as needed.
What would be great to have:
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability.
- 3+ years of experience in reviewing and interpreting data within log files.
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting network communication issues using tools like Wireshark or similar products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (internal and client-facing).

- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
