About Your Role:
As a Senior Network WAN Engineer, you will be the interface to both the Fiserv business units and their customers to provide the best-in-class design and deployment for remote customer network connectivity enabling the consumption of all Fiserv services. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, provide technical support, and ensure satisfaction.
What you’ll do:
- Work hand in hand within the team and with other network engineering teams, network operations and development teams to collaborate on automation ideas to help enhance network deployments both increasing productivity and delivering to market sooner which will result in greater revenue
- You will be a key participant in leading technologies, innovation and building access to our enhanced network architecture

- Develop and implement WAN solutions to meet client requirements, including configuring routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor WAN performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure network reliability and security
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure network resilience
Experience you’ll need to have:
- 6+ years of Network Engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience in WAN Engineering on large scale enterprise class networks
- 6+ years of experience working with Layer 3 protocols (BGP, OSPF and EIGRP) route distribution and router filtering
- 2+ years of experience in software development specifically in Python, GIT, Ansible and YAML
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
- Experience working with various network solutions (SDWAN, MPLS, IPsec, S2S and DMVPN) and Layer 2 protocols (HSRP and VRRP)
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
- Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architecture
- Load balancers and firewall knowledge
