Software Developer - Core Application
What does a successful Software Developer - Core Application do? A successful Software Developer on the Core Application team at Fiserv works on the design and development of the Finxact Core as a Service platform. This role involves creating new software and enhancing existing software to meet the needs of banks and financial institutions. The Software Developer collaborates with business analysts, engineers, and system users to ensure high-quality software solutions and contributes to the overall quality and test coverage of the systems.
What you will do:
- Work with business analysts, engineers, and system users to understand and implement application requirements.
- Collaborate with partners to understand their implementations and gain knowledge in cloud-based SaaS technologies.
- Develop new software and enhance existing applications to improve system quality and test coverage.
- Ensure on-time delivery of project deliverables under tight deadlines.
- Analyze and interpret data, discussing both business and technical topics.
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in software application development in the financial industry, including loan servicing, deposit operations, card processing, interface development, and/or CRM systems.
- 6+ years of experience with RESTful services, Swagger, JSON data interchange, and GIT.
- 6+ years of experience in technical analysis, design, and development.
- 6+ years of experience in analyzing and interpreting data for business and technical discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Familiarity with Golang.
- Experience working in a remote environment.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud-based SaaS development.
- 5+ years of experience in agile development methodologies.
- 3+ years of experience in containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
