Work Arrangement
Hybrid - This means the successful candidate is expected to report to their work location three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]. This position has the flexibility to be in Warren, MI, Mountain View, CA, or Austin, TX.
The Role
As a Disruptive Products & Solutions Architect – Robotics & Automation Innovation , you will lead the creation and adoption of next-generation automation and robotics technologies. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic foresight to identify, evaluate, and deliver innovative solutions that redefine operational capabilities. You will guide the full lifecycle of disruptive products—from ideation and conceptual design to pilot deployment and enterprise-scale rollout—while ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to drive innovation, mitigate risk, and deliver high-impact solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead ideation and conceptual design of disruptive automation and robotics solutions to address complex operational challenges.
- Evaluate internal and external product proposals for feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and production readiness.
- Develop structured plans to transition innovations from concept through pilot and into scaled deployment.
- Create detailed technical documentation including architectural diagrams, models, and specifications.
- Conduct performance analysis, debugging, and optimization of new systems and technologies.
- Provide technical leadership across the product lifecycle, influencing design decisions and ensuring architectural integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., WHS, Planning, Procurement, Finance, HR) to ensure successful execution.
- Act as a subject matter expert, challenging assumptions and guiding engineering teams and suppliers.
- Build and present business proposals to secure funding and leadership alignment.
- Advocate for internal process innovation and own roadmap development for your area of responsibility.
- Ensure alignment of projects with business strategy and prioritize customer satisfaction throughout delivery.
