Overview:
General Motors (GM) Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) markets automotive replacement parts globally for GM and non-GM vehicles. As a full profit and loss organization, CCA includes more than 2,000 salaried employees and over 5,000 hourly represented employees, working across five major functions:

Position Summary:
As the Sr. Financial Analyst for SCWL Inventory, you will steer the financial performance of a $2.2 B+ inventory portfolio (480K+ SKUs), aligning stock strategy with commercial terms and maximizing profit. Leveraging Power BI, SAP, Hyperion, and Excel, you’ll generate incremental EBIT to GM via pricing increases and evaluate end-of-life decisions for parts to minimize legal exposure, optimize revenue, and manage capital. Beyond routine financial reporting, the analyst leads the development of the annual global budget and long-term strategic plans, while providing actionable insights and strategic counsel to drive resource optimization and improve operating results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead GMNA CCA Inventory and US Excess & Obsolescence forecasts. Highlight risks/opportunities directly to executive leadership.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Supply Chain and Lifecycle Management teams on initiatives like All-Time Buys, Special Studies, and EOL analyses—voice of Finance in cross-functional decisions.
- Inventory Finance Leadership: Evaluate end-of-life part decisions, minimize legal exposure, optimize revenue recovery, and reduce carrying costs.
- Financial Tools Evolution: Drive transformation of inventory reporting through best-in-class analytics toolsets (Power BI, SAP, Hyperion).
- Senior-Level Communication: Concisely present insights (“30-second rule”) to senior management; develop aftersales presentations grounded in data.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface seamlessly with Product, FP&A, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Procurement to align financial and operational goals.
