About the Role
As the Product Design Leader for the Evisort team at Workday, you’ll lead a talented group of designers focused on delivering innovative, AI-powered user experiences. You'll play a key role in shaping the product roadmap and ensuring that our customers benefit from intuitive, high-impact design. As a player-coach, you'll manage day-to-day execution while mentoring and developing your team, helping elevate design standards and outcomes across the organization.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver best-in-class user experiences for cutting-edge AI/ML features — often designing for entirely new, precedent-setting functionality
Define and drive a clear UX strategy and design vision aligned with product and business goals
Lead the creation of strategic design deliverables that support cross-functional collaboration and long-term success
Influence peers and stakeholders through strong strategic thinking and persuasive, clear communication
Stay ahead of market trends and adapt the design strategy to meet evolving user and business needs, particularly in enterprise AI
Translate high-level vision into actionable plans that drive meaningful execution and measurable impact
Partner with Product and Engineering to deliver user-centered, scalable solutions that solve complex enterprise problems
Act as a player-coach by contributing directly to design work while guiding, mentoring, and supporting the growth of your team
Establish and uphold design standards, systems, and best practices across the organization
Continuously improve team effectiveness, resource planning, and key performance metrics
About You
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in product, service, or solution design
5+ years of experience leading and managing UX and product design teams
Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, with a preference for experience in Generative AI
Other Qualifications:
Experience designing for complex enterprise systems such as Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), or Business Intelligence (BI) platforms
Proven ability to shape, execute, and deliver on product roadmaps in high-complexity environments
Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration with senior designers, product managers, and engineering leaders
Experience leading and growing distributed UX teams across multiple time zones or geographies
Demonstrated success in elevating product quality and craft across teams
Expertise in design operations and managerial excellence, including resourcing, hiring, and team development
Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g., Graphic, Interaction, Industrial, Architecture) or equivalent practical experience
Experience managing multi-disciplinary UX teams, including product designers, researchers, and content strategists

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
