Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Functional Consultant with expertise in Demand Planning, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and supply disaggregation processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, deploying, and optimizing supply chain planning solutions to meet global business needs.
This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones, driving root cause analysis, process improvements, and best practice implementations.
Duties
Solution Design & Deployment
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of demand planning, IBP, and supply disaggregation processes.
- Ensure alignment of planning solutions with business objectives and operational requirements.
- Act as the functional subject matter expert (SME) for solution implementation projects.
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
- Conduct detailed requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders across different geographies.
- Create and maintain process documentation, business use cases, and user stories.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Lead functional testing activities, including test case creation, execution, and defect management.
- Partner with QA teams to ensure all system functionalities are tested thoroughly before deployment.
Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Develop training materials and user guides for business and technical teams.
- Conduct training sessions and provide post-implementation support to end-users.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with IT, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
- Participate in global project meetings and support multiple time zones (India, China, UK, North America).
Continuous Improvement
- Perform root cause analysis to identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
- Suggest process enhancements and lead change management efforts to improve adoption.
Skills Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in Demand Planning, IBP, and Supply Chain process implementations.
- Familiarity with supply chain planning processes such as:
- Master Scheduling
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Production Scheduling
- Supplier Scheduling
- Inventory Management
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile.
- Excellent documentation skills (process flows, user stories, test cases, training materials).
Preferred:
- Experience in multi-country deployments.
- Knowledge of major planning tools such as SAP IBP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, or Oracle Demand Planning.
- PMP, Agile, or SAFe certifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $68.00 - $75.00 per hour
