Most of the testing involves durability simulation of subsystems and components. Testing responsibilities include mechanical preparation and instrumentation, test execution, data collection and posttest removal of test equipment and various automotive components. Will be working with test lab instrumentation including application and installation of transducers, accelerometers, load cells, potentiometers and other various types of electrical equipment. Work with vehicle suspension components and sub systems.
High School Diploma required
Must have good electrical and mechanical knowledge
Good interpersonal, computer, oral and written skills.
Desired:
Associates in Automotive Technology or a combination of 2 years’ experience and college.
Previous experience in a testing environment desirable, including: hydraulic experience (closed loop systems a plus), hydraulic / pneumatic system controller experience, automotive systems / sub-system familiarization, MTS controller familiarization.
Welding experience (Mig, Tig, Arc) and Machine shop / fabrication experience preferred.
