Position Summary:
KBR is seeking to hire an engineering candidate for an exciting opportunity in an emerging Department of Defense (DoD) missile system. Join our engineering team to help shape the future of a strategically important Army missile program. We are seeking an experienced quality engineer that is adept at reviewing quality supplier management plans, product line verification and validation test plans/reports, first article test and first article inspection reports, FRACAS reporting, and RAM scoring. This candidate will have experience analyzing the production of mechanical and electromechanical assemblies and be confident in providing recommendations to improve yield and throughput. An ideal candidate is comfortable detailing their analyses and/or designs in briefing-format and is also experienced supporting an Army or other DoD customer.
Job Requirements:
- Engineering BS Degree
- Active Secret clearance
- 10+ years of experience working in a DoD environment
Preferred Experience:
- Masters degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
- Experience working with a technical system - transitioning from conceptualization to fielding
- 3+ years of missile defense experience and mobile ground systems
- Experience with material sourcing and value chain scoring metrics
- Comfortable speaking across organizations, coordinating with multiple engineering and logistics disciplines to develop a whole picture concept of the program value chain
- Familiar with ISO9001 application in small, medium, and large business environments
- Demonstrates technical understating and execution of product line validations
- Skilled with validating first article inspections and first article test artifacts
- Experienced implementing project level product assurance plans across multiple contracts
- Adept past experience briefing to audiences and directly working with a customer
- Experience implementing FRACAS data into actionable plans for corrective action for fielded products
