MANTECH seeks a
Supply Chain Planning Manager onsite in
Chantilly, VA in a support of our government customer.
The Supply Chain Planning Manager will play a key role in developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts, facilitating cross-functional planning, and ensuring alignment across the organization to support operational excellence and program success. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities Include But Are Limited To
- Forecasting and Modeling; develop and maintain statistical forecast models using historical data, market trends, and other relevant inputs; analyze demand drivers such as promotions, trends, and new product introductions to improve forecast accuracy; utilize advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, specialized forecasting software) to generate and manage forecasts.
- Collaboration and Communication; lead monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings with cross-functional stakeholders; facilitate consensus planning processes to ensure organizational alignment on a unified demand plan; communicate forecasts, risks, and opportunities effectively to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Strategy and Continuous Improvement; drive demand planning process improvements to increase accuracy and reduce supply chain costs; monitor and report on KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias, and demand variability; develop strategies to mitigate demand uncertainty and manage product lifecycle transitions (NPIs to phase-outs).
- Team Leadership; provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations for direct reports; foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7 years or more of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or logistics roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
- Proven success in leading projects, managing teams, and working cross-functionally; hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and forecasting tools.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (macros, advanced functions); in-depth knowledge of statistical forecasting methods.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills to align stakeholders across departments; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities; high attention to detail with accuracy in data management; collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification strongly preferred.
- Current active Secret clearance strongly preferred.
Clearance Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting this position and maintain a Secret clearance thereafter.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
- Must be able to work in an office environment and move within the space.
- Must be able to review, decipher, and understand program manuals, IT service requests, and work orders.
