What does a successful QA Engineer do?
At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Engineer (SDET) for our Quality Assurance team. As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) processes, ensuring that quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in QA methodologies to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.
What you will do:
- Perform manual and automated testing in a Windows and Linux environment.
- Conduct API, performance testing, regression testing, and system integration testing.
- Working directly with design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-leading tools and frameworks.
- Drive automation moderation of testing.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to implement TDD and BDD practices.
- Identify and report software defects with detailed steps to reproduce.
- Participate in Agile Scrum meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you will need to have:
- 4+ years of experience in software development.
- 2+ years of experience in Java, C, C#, C++, or similar programming languages.
- 2+ years of experience in SQL databases.
- 2+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
- 2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
- 4 to 7 years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.

- This role is on-site in Lincoln Nebraska Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.
