What You Will Do
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of fleet and delivery asset management, including equipment planning, allocation, maintenance programs, and decommissioning.
• Manage and optimize vendor partnerships to ensure cost-effective, high-performance delivery services.
• Oversee regulatory compliance across national operations, with strong working knowledge of federal and state transportation laws.
• Drive execution of strategic initiatives supporting market delivery and enterprise fulfillment, including Pro Delivery Strategy, RDC/FDC networks and XDTs.
• Deliver future-ready transportation capabilities, including support for technology-driven delivery models (e.g., gig-style platforms).
• Lead test-and-learn pilots that assess new delivery methods and technology, identifying scalable best practices.
• Develop and manage weekly/monthly reporting dashboards for performance monitoring and executive visibility.
• Perform variance analysis and root cause identification to inform strategic decisions and corrective actions.
• Leverage data insights to drive continuous improvement in fleet utilization, delivery speed, and service quality.
• Partner with supply chain, field operations, technology, and procurement teams to ensure alignment and execution of delivery goals.
• Streamline workflows and communication between internal stakeholders and third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless end-to-end operations.
• Lead implementation of new tools and technologies to improve fleet and delivery operations.
• Champion training and change management initiatives to drive adoption of new systems and processes.
• Sponsor IT enhancements aligned to long-term operational goals.
• Lead and coach internal teams.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business, logistics, or related field and 8-10 Years of progressive experience in supply chain operations, transportation, or logistics within a large, multi-node retail or distribution environment.
• 5-7 Years of hands-on experience managing or supporting last-mile or final-mile delivery programs, preferably in a high-volume, customer-facing retail network.
• 5-7 Years with fleet asset lifecycle management, including procurement, allocation, utilization tracking, maintenance scheduling, and decommissioning.
• 5-7 Years of experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams and leading vendor relationships.
• 3-5 Years of leadership experience (direct or indirect reports).
• 3-5 Years of working knowledge of USDOT regulations, Hazmat compliance, and fleet lifecycle management.
Preferred Skills/Education
• Master’s Degree
• Experience in final-mile delivery, Pro customer fulfillment, and large-scale retail supply chain networks.
• Experience leading enterprise-level transportation initiatives and technology rollouts.
