Amentum is seeking a Knowledge Analyst at Ft. Belvoir, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing recommendations for the development of knowledge management (KM) systems and offer results by designing and implementing Knowledge Management process improvement solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Produce, for Government review and approval, KM standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other KM documents in accordance with standards from all services and government agencies which shall guide KM efforts within the organization and shall put the KM structure, practices, and governance model into place.
- Facilitate the KMWG using a variety of techniques and tools to enable that collaboration to occur, including disseminating information received to individuals or to the entire working group, prompting working group members to participate and provide specific items to the discussion.
- Provide position papers containing analysis that provide assessments regarding the effectiveness of current organizational SOPs and processes.
- Publish minutes to the SharePoint KM portal site, disseminate minutes via email to designated Government personnel from the KMWG, and provide recommendations for the follow-on KMWG.
- Provide surveys, interviews, and the results of each KMWG that enable methods of sharing knowledge both within and outside of the organization as well as vertically and laterally.
- Participate in meetings to ensure requirements and design concepts are accomplished through the creation of governance and maintenance plans, custom workflows and site themes, SharePoint content management with Microsoft Office applications, and the transfer of content from shared drives and other repositories to SharePoint.
- Implement the KM practice by leveraging SharePoint and other KM Tools as enabling technology, where applicable.
- Provide formats and recommendations in the management and use of SharePoint from any prioritized recommendations which facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Provide status updates to the client including actual versus planned task progress made, schedule status, surveys/interviews conducted, meetings attended, issues, and recommendations.
- Identify planned versus actual tasks completed within the previous week in these status updates.
- Provide Knowledge Management operations trends and strategic communications support, which involves the review of KM methods, exchange of analyses, collaboration with other services and battle rhythm analyses.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have an Active Top-Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top-Secret.
- Minimum 5 years of Knowledge Management analysis experience.
- Experience in SharePoint 2016/2019 and Office 365; Java, VISIO, Power Apps, Power Automate and visualization tools.
- Experience in understanding Knowledge Management analyst tools.
- Experience in understanding collaborative environments, records management, and metadata.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have Knowledge Management (KM) Certification.
- Must have Security Plus certification and have completed a Site Collection Administration training course equivalent to Microsoft MS55033.
Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
