About the Role
You will help support Amentum’s ongoing or planned infrastructure work around the existing 5 Basin at HMNB Devonport, which is used for active nuclear submarines and will undergo maintenance and support upgrades to ensure its long-term relevance for the Royal Navy's future fleet. This is part of a larger, multi-billion pound, decade-long redevelopment of the dockyard to modernize facilities for both new frigates and nuclear submarines, with the goal of supporting the Royal Navy's operations for the next 30 years.
We are operating under flexible working arrangements, with a mixture of office-based and home working environments. Glasgow office would be the preferred base-office location.
You will preferably have experience of working in a multidiscipline Engineering Industrial design team. Looking to work in a technically challenging environment.
Fluent in Revit, Auto-Cad.
Ability to produce 3D CAD information in a BIM environment.
Production of 2D/3D drawings.
Capability across Electrical/Mechanical disciplines including Electrical Building Services.
Familiar with BIM, use of Common Data Environment (CDE) and QA systems.
Willing to travel if/when required.
Here’s What You’ll Need
Possess a knowledge of the electrical/mechanical engineering discipline.
Experienced in engineering in a defence or nuclear related industry preferred but not essential, happy to consider other industries
Experience in aspects of electrical/mechanical building services, power, lighting, CCTV, Alarms, Etc
Familiar with working in a secure environment
Relevant qualification minimum, HND or equivalent.
All staff are required to be sole UK Nationals and able and willing to obtain SC level security clearance, and therefore must have been resident in the UK for the preceding 5 years.
