Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and insightful Senior Biostatistician to leverage clinical and financial data, employing advanced analytical tools to bolster our proactive compliance processes. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design of analytical protocols, conduct comprehensive analyses, derive well-supported conclusions, and formulate strategic recommendations. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating potential risk areas, evaluating program effectiveness, and determining return on investment. As a trusted advisor, you will provide expert consultation and guidance on complex analysis projects, crafting compelling quantitative data displays, reports, and presentations that drive decisive action from leadership and staff.
Major Responsibility:
- Serve as the lead statistician on internal data evaluations, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Design and implement robust data evaluation requirements to enhance operational and compliance needs.
- Prepare comprehensive written reports and deliver engaging oral presentations summarizing data analysis results, including detailed statistical methods.
- Provide technical leadership and expert consultation on statistical analysis, methods, and techniques to project teams.
- Coordinate statistical activities for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate results. - Write intermediate to advanced SQL queries to data mine, extract, and model data from multiple databases (Teradata, GCP, SQL, etc.).
- Evaluate data quality and completeness, proactively communicating any gaps to relevant stakeholders.
- Aggregate and meticulously clean data from multiple sources to prepare it for manipulation, analysis, and visualizations.
- Develop actionable reports, compelling report narratives, and insightful data visualizations using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, and PowerBI.
- Identify patterns, variability, and outliers from raw data, providing context and potential implications.
- Interpret and present results in a clear and meaningful way to executive-level audiences, tailoring the message for maximum impact.
- Deliver rapid turnaround analytics requests in support of critical operations, ensuring timely decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design data analytical studies, perform sample size/power calculations, and implement effective stratification/randomization of studies.
- Provide expert advice and consultation on key clinical or financial metrics, offering valuable insights.
- Plan statistical design for evaluations, conduct rigorous statistical analysis, and prepare comprehensive reports for these analyses.
- Prepare detailed analysis plans including sampling methodologies, data collection strategies, and comprehensive data review processes.
- Write detailed specifications based on executive or regulatory stakeholder requirements, ensuring alignment and compliance.
- Leverage large datasets to build complex statistical models, develop sophisticated programs, and perform rigorous statistical testing using R.
Education & Experience:
- 1-5 years relevant experience
- 2+ years as a statistician
- Master’s Degree e.g. MPH, MHA, MBA, MS, MA (Master Degree in Statistics or Biostatistics preferred) or Ph.D.
- Exhibit expert knowledge of R software, utilizing its full potential for statistical analysis.
- Demonstrate advanced capabilities in reporting/BI Platforms, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Possess intermediate capabilities in SQL, enabling efficient data extraction and manipulation.
