Jacobs is seeking a Wastewater Plant Operator to work at our wastewater facility and collections system located in Prescott Valley, AZ. You’ll work with project staff and supervision to assist in the daily operations activities as well as operating a WWTP Laboratory, WWTP, Collections System and Reclaimed System to provide superior client service, ensure timely completion of all activities, effectively schedule work to drive optimized resource utilization, establish and maintaining efficient progress metrics and tracking tool and provide technical support as needed.

Qualifications – External
- High School Diploma or GED
- Availability for after-hours and emergency call-outs
- Must have a positive attitude and be capable of contributing to the success of the team, as well as to your own success as an individual.
- Experience in a Wastewater Treatment Plant environment or other safety sensitive related field.
- Must be detail oriented and keep excellent documentation.
- ADEQ Grade 1 Wastewater Treatment certification or the ability to acquire in a year.
- Class B CDL with a Tanker Endorsement or the ability to obtain within a year.
- Must be able to follow written procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as Data Collection and Entry.
- Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
Ideally, You’ll Also:
- ADEQ Grade 1 Wastewater Collections license
- Experience in a Laboratory Environment and in collecting / processing samples
- Possess experience coordinating activities with operational needs and evaluating project policies and objectives
- Diagnose malfunctions and determine effective courses of action for correcting them
- Support asset review and condition assessment efforts
- Gain necessary system knowledge to develop and update thorough capital improvement plans
- Perform heavy manual labor when needed
- Keep records and prepare routine and special reports
- Maintain equipment in sewage treatment plant: bar screening, grit handling systems, primary and secondary clarifiers, UV disinfection, aeration basins and blowers, belt filter presses, polymer mix systems, associated pumps (positive displacement, centrifugal, chemical, metering)
- Develop, implement, and enforce compliance and safety regulations and procedures
- Provide training for less experienced employees

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
