What does a successful Press Operator do at Fiserv?
As a Fiserv Press Operator, you'll be trained how to operate offset press machines as well as other print production machines. Our print and press machines are used to produce high quality secured cards-all in color. You will be responsible for the set up and operation of print and press machines, perform quality checks, confirm quantity produced, and ensure the batch is correct per the job ticket. In this role, strong attention to detail is imperative. You will troubleshoot any machine errors that may occur to complete print projects by the specified deadline.
What you will do:
- Set up and operate print and press machines to start a production cycle.
- Examine job ticket to determine quality to be printed, stock specifications, colors and any special printing instructions.
- Control and adjust machine settings; resolve any machine errors that may occur while operating as well as clean machine parts such as plates and cylinders.
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
- Mix and match ink color and fill and replenish ink fountains.
- Inspect print rolls, and align with the plate cylinders to achieve proper ink application; change rolls as necessary.
- Maintain color consistency and print quality during production run.
- Examine prints for ink density, position on paper-make necessary adjustments to the print or press machine throughout production run to maintain specifications from job ticket.
What you will need to have:
- 2+ years of printing press operating experience in a fast-paced environment.
- 1+ years of experience effectively matching colors for print press operation.
- Prior experience with interpreting and understanding print work orders.
- Must be able to reach above shoulders, climb, squat, kneel, and bend often
- Ability to stand 95% of your shift and safely lift up to 40 pounds without assistance

What would be great to have:
- A high school diploma, equivalent work, or a combination of work, education, and military experience.
- 4+ years of print press operating experience in a fast-paced environment.
- 2+ years of Komori or Hewlett-Packard press operating experience.
Important information about this role:
- Compensation starts at $30/hour
- You will work an assigned schedule of either Wednesday-Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday; 7:30pm-6:00am
- Eligible to earn shift differential pay for working 3rd shift
- Flexibility in schedule to work required overtime that includes weekends and holidays
