Description:We are Lockheed MartinThe Fort Worth Thermodynamics team executes engineering tasks in support of ADP, IFG, and F-35 Lines of Business. The Thermodynamics Manager is responsible for technical and management leadership including:
• Support of new business pursuits for the team and guide the planning and execution of that work.
• Develop standard work practices. Establish and coordinate processes, plans and procedures necessary to provide timely, accurate and focused engineering support. Identify design and analysis tools, including associated training and skills development materials, needed for current and future Thermodynamics engineering tasks.
• Develop and execute workforce competency strategies. Manage and grow a skilled workforce specializing in aircraft Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer and Thermal Analysis.
• Oversight and integration of performance management and career development for team members.
• Lead the team to deliver positive experiences that shape employee and leader beliefs. Recognize and reward behaviors and actions that lead to positive business results.
• Create, support and reward an agile team environment that enables innovation and inclusion.

• Bachelor's degree in in an engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in an area of flight sciences or vehicle systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred.
• Environmental control systems (ECS), Power and Thermal Management Systems (PTMS), Thermodynamics, Propulsion or Flight Sciences experience.
• Familiarity with Thermal Analysis tools and processes.
• Ability to manage, coach, train and motivate team in technical and leadership development.
• Management experience.
• Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
• Demonstrated success shaping and leading a team in a dynamic business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers and senior management.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to address complex matters and solutions with senior leadership.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
