Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s W-T-A (Welding, Paint & Assembly) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Paint Seibi Technician.
The primary responsibility of this role is to Program paint and plastic robots to meet Toyota and Lexus Quality standards.
Reporting to the Paint Production Engineering Seibi Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint department's objective to create the highest quality at the lowest cost.
What you’ll be doing
Offline simulations / online programming (Carrot 3 and Catia)
Quality Adjust for Topcoat, Under body and Plastics shop
Equipment confirmations
Create schedules
Manage schedules
Create status reports
Communicate with PE Specialist and other Paint Seibi Techs
Communicate with Paint pilot members
Program Topcoat robots
Program UBC robots
Program Plastics robots
Run quality trials through above process
Trouble shoot Paint process including robot programs
Resolve conflict in job scope and design
What you bring
1 + years SEIBI experience
Robot programming experience (Example: Kawasaki, UR Robot, Fanuc, Nachi, etc.)
Quality instruments experience (Examples: elcometer, X-rite, Wavescan, Pelt, etc)
Proficiency in Microsoft office and excel
Able to communicate across multiple platforms
Able to work weekends and holidays, and overtime as needed
Able to travel internationally and domestically up to 50%
Added bonus if you have
2- or 4-year technical degree
Knowledge of Toyota Quality Standards
PLC programming experience (Example: Toyopuc, Allen Bradley, Omron, etc)
Digital engineering experience (Example: Solidworks, AutoCad, Catia, etc.)
Simulation software experience (Carrott, Demia,)
