Purpose: A key member of the program management team, the Contracts Manager, operates within a highly collaborative, cross-functional organization overseeing the contract administration and contract management of one of Amentum’s significant programs, performance of which is located in various locations in Europe. This position requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills, who is capable of interfacing on a daily basis with the Government and various functional departments, such as operations, HR, and finance, while supporting, executing and coordinating concurrent activities with time critical schedules and deadlines. This position is partially remote and partially in-office (Northern Virginia, Amentum corporate headquarters) and requires travel to various Program sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures contractual compliance while monitoring the administration of the prime contract, including the review of contract modifications and entering executed documentation into the internal contract management system.
- Daily telephonic and email correspondence with Government and Amentum counterparts.
- Serves as a central point of contact for the internal contract & task order management in support of data calls, letters of technical direction, and all other applicable focus areas of contract administration.
- Maintains day-to-day work history, email and communication logs so that it can be retrieved as necessary.
- Provides assistance to contracts leadership on contract administration matters, working within the parameters of the prime contract and all task orders, and identifies changes during contract execution.
- Supports the review and negotiation of bids and/or change order proposals.
- Works closely with management at the project level to coordinate work changes that could influence the prime contract.
- Ensures compliance with Company policies on contracts and procurement.
- Provides interpretation of contracts, organizes or processes correspondence with contracting parties and monitors fulfillment of contractual obligations (i.e., CDRL submissions).
- Works under limited supervision.
- Demonstrates the ability to formulate and compile a variety of related Contract packages with responsibility for administering these packages during execution, including formation of the necessary documentation for adequate Contract control.
- Completed work is reviewed for achievement of desired results.
- Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
- Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.
- Performs all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in government contract management, specifically CPAF and FFP contracts and change management.
Experience:
- Experience in Government contract management, procurement practices, cost accounting standards, financial management, and operational management, especially in challenging operating environments such as OCONUS locations.
- Working knowledge of the FAR and DFAR.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A strategic mindset.
- Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic understanding of the FAR and government contracts.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Certification, License & Clearance:
- Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
- US Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain a US Passport
- Maybe required to obtain and maintain a CAC, if required.
- May require extended international travel to support operational programs.
