About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director to join the Business Controls Management team to oversee non-financial regulatory reporting risks and controls. This position will require deep knowledge of the regulatory, compliance and operational aspects of non-financial regulatory reporting in a financial institution.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Business Controls Management and will work closely with lines of business supervisors and COO teams as well as other support functions (e.g., Compliance, Risk, Operations, Technology, Legal and Audit). Their goal is to ensure a sound non-financial regulatory reporting program that is in compliance with applicable rules, regulations and industry best practices.

In this role, you will:- Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence plans, specifications, resource needs, and goals for multi-faceted, highly complex, or long-term risk mitigation and control strategies on behalf of the business
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex current and emerging risks which require understanding of business-specific knowledge related to financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT, systems security, business process management, and applicable business acumen
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, multi-faceted, long-term, or companywide strategies
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
Required Qualifications:- 7+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- A BS/BA degree or higher
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. and offshore non-financial regulatory reporting regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and deliver results in a timely manner
- Self-starter with ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and effectively lead in a dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Strong attention to detail and high-quality standard for work
- Commitment to provide timely and accurate guidance to the business with a strong ability to influence when needed
- Inquisitive and proactive mindset with the ability to think creatively to solve problems and anticipate potential questions and issues
- Experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information utilizing sound judgement
- FINRA Series 7, 24 & 63 licenses are preferred but not a pre-requisite; must be willing to obtain in a timely manner
Job Expectations:- Ability to travel up to 10%
- This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to compliance with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
