Position Title: Estimator Professional

Purpose of the position
Will perform assigned estimating duties as an Amentum employee onsite at the NASA Johnson Space Center. Collects and analyzes metric data to produce estimates according to the established documented estimating policies and procedures.
Principal Responsibilities of the Position
- Produces cost and effort models for work products and processes using various tools and techniques to meet business needs.
- Uses appropriate technology to effectively create estimates; ensures technology used is up to date.
- Assists individuals who provide estimates to ensure accuracy and consistency; supports users of the estimates to ensure understanding and proper use.
- Creates objective estimates delivered to clients to ensure high quality customer service.
- Defines business goals as measurable units; ensures goals are measured appropriately.
- Budgets estimating activities; provides deliverables within budget in accordance with company guidelines.
- Prepares cost estimates and price quotations on new work; coordinates the preparation of cost estimates on project continuations.
- Collects information for proper quotations from other functions as appropriate; ensures quotations are provided within company standards.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred
- Two or more years of estimating experience
- Experience working with cost and effort estimates for work products and processes
- Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
- Experience working with financial analysis.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
- Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
- Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
- Must have, and maintain, a valid Texas driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test.
- Clean, neat, and professional personal appearance.
- Will insure quality and completeness of work in a safe and timely manner as well as insuring areas worked are clean, neat and ready for customers needs when complete.
