Job Summary
Manages a team that executes activities related to the facility logistics operations, the order processing function for the facilities, facility inventory controls and shipping transactional responsibilities.
The team is approximately 20+ people and includes hourly team employees and salaried team members.
This role is critical to managing the day-to-day logistics activities in the factory, ensuring that our production teams receive all materials to point of use. The team also supports off site storage, kitting and inventory cycle counting.
What You Will Do
Inventory Management
Planning inventory cycle counting program includes planning for surplus, scrap and cycle counting to ensure conformance to CAT policies.
Planning for and leading a team of counters and analysts who will fulfill adjustments and RCCA as needed.
Logistics Planning
Ensures that the logistics team is staffed adequately to ensure all materials are receipted, put away and delivered to point of use as needed.
The role also is responsible for ensuring the kits for production consumption and ship loose are prepared in a timely manner.
Order Management Process
Manages the small team who plan, convert, schedule, and validate all production orders for the facility.
Degree Requirement
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience desired

Core Application Systems:
Documents regulatory and reporting requirements.
Assesses situations based on awareness of the goals and operating issues of own department.
Carries out responsibilities that contribute to role of own department within the organization.
Planning: Tactical, Strategic:
Level Working Knowledge
Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Develops headcount plans aligned to capacity needs.
Anticipates and adapts to plan changes.
Monitors progress of work against plan as required to meet objectives.
Walks through and documents steps, decisions, measurements, dependencies and hand-offs for a specific process.
Identifies and monitors common process bottlenecks.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering
High levels of SAP functionality expertise, particularly focused on inventory controls and order processing
Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and people leadership (salaried and hourly)
Familiarity with Manufacturing facilities, processes, and equipment
Experience in Plant scheduling, Forecasting and Demand Planning tools
This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
Travel up to ~10% is possible.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
