Description: You will be an Engineering Aide at Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie, TX, supporting the Integration, Test & Evaluation function on multiple radio frequency directed energy programs in an engineering test facility. Our team is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions, and you will play a key role in performing fabrication updates, soldering repairs, and modifying associated test equipment.
What You Will Be Doing
As an Engineering Aide, you will be responsible for:
• Performing fabrication updates, soldering repairs, and modifying associated test equipment
• Maintaining the calibration rotation of test equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance on test equipment and RF range subsystems
• Implementing, collecting results, maintaining appropriate logs, and providing oral and/or written reports of results
• Monitoring process controls, materials, and supplies
• Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
• Advising test operators and informing engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a fabrication environment, with a focus on electrical test equipment, and optionally up to 1 year of experience in other related fabrication environments, such as cable and harness fabrication, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) board fabrication, or maintenance of military-designed products
• Experience fabricating electrical test equipment designs from a blueprint of the layout, schematic, bill of material, and engineering practices manual as guidelines.
• Experience in a Radio Frequency Laboratory environment supporting coax cable fabrication and utilizing equipment such as spectrum analyzer's, RF Power meter's, synthesizers
• Experience communicating issues with the design and or the process requirements to management and or design engineers.
• Knowledge of basic avionics and electronics
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and fault isolation of components using general purpose and/or automated test equipment
• Experience with policies and procedures related to controlling Government property
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
Desired Skills:
• Prior Certification in solder and harness capability to MIL STD requirements.
• Experience in repairs of electro-mechanical assemblies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721
• Experience with troubleshooting and fault isolation of fielded test equipment
• Experience with data base tracking systems including the service request system
• Experience interfacing with engineers to help to develop prototype designs

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
