Job Description Summary
As the Senior Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for demand translation and production readiness, taking into consideration efficient inventory management for Work-in-Process (WIP) and Capacity constraints at a Tier 1 Supplier. This role is dedicated for a level 1 Supplier and is supplier facing. This role is aligned to support the Turbine Airfoils Value Stream Part Family, in close collaboration with the TAVS make shops, and will facilitate supplier problem solving for all parts (both direct & indirect) for the supplier.
In this role, you will utilize Flight Deck principles to facilitate supplier daily management with the Supplier Team, owning delivery action plan.
This role requires 25-50% travel.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for Tier 1 Supplier delivery, managing supplier commits vs actual performance and problem solving to gaps to MRD
- Work with cross-functional supplier team, facilitate supplier daily management, own delivery action plan driving recovery to MRD
- Owns near term delivery for full book of business and partners with the Delivery Leader on operating cadence centered around the Supplier Partnership Quality and Delivery Recovery Plan
- Define and improve Sourcing strategies at business or plant level. May also include management of regional & business teams
- Develop specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field
- Serve as best practice/quality resource
- Skilled influencer, communicate complex messages to others
- Impact approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working
- Impact quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team
- Responsible for on-site supplier problem solving, facilitating actions plans & supporting delivery kaizen events
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience)
- At least an additional 5 years of Sourcing and/or Manufacturing Operations experience
