Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) Sapphire is looking for a dynamic Senior Deployment Program Manager to join the team in Berkeley, MO; Arlington, VA; El Segundo, CA; Houston, TX; Huntington Beach, CA; Huntsville, AL; Mesa, AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; San Antonio, TX; Ridley Park, PA; Plano, TX; Seal Beach, CA; or Seattle, WA.
The selected candidate will lead the deployment of the three-bedrock Sapphire system of systems—comprising Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)—to programs and sites across Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS). This role is critical for ensuring a smooth and effective implementation of the Sapphire systems, tailored to meet the unique needs of each deployment.
Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) supports more than 100 product teams, as they enable Boeing business partner leaders to deliver our products and services to our customers. From building a better digital experience, to designing faster and more accurate manufacturing analytics, our products touch every aspect of our business.
BDS is modernizing its foundational product lifecycle management (PLM), manufacturing operations management (MOM), and enterprise resources planning (ERP) systems; enhancing its data strategies; and improving the alignment of its execution processes via a program called Sapphire that is a joint effort between BDS and IDT&S.
Position Responsibilities:
Establish detailed deployment plans for the Sapphire system of systems across BDS, ensuring alignment with program objectives and timelines
Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure that the appropriate infrastructure is in place to support the implementation approach for each deployment, addressing any technical requirements or challenges
Organize and oversee dress rehearsals and other preparatory activities to ensure that all stakeholders are ready for the deployment, identifying and mitigating any potential issues in advance
Maintain clear and consistent communication with program teams and stakeholders throughout the deployment process, providing updates on progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring alignment with deployment goals
Identify potential risks associated with the deployment and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that any challenges are addressed promptly
Facilitate post-deployment reviews to assess the effectiveness of the implementation and gather feedback for continuous improvement
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10+ years of experience in program or project management
10+ years of experience leading a cross-functional team
5+ years of experience within information technology
5+ years of experience deploying complex IT or software systems such as Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Capable of traveling up to 30% of the time
Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Active Top Secret Security Clearance
Relevant certifications in project or program management
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $162,350 – $251,850
