Amentum is seeking a highly organized and experienced Operations and Plans Analyst to join our team at Fort Belvoir in the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency J3 division. This role requires a versatile professional who can perform a wide range of complex administrative, operational, and planning assignments with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a military or professional environment, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to dynamic requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis of operational information from open-source and public resources to support Personnel Recovery (PR) studies and products.
- Provide assessments of operational and tactical capability gaps and their effects on PR efforts worldwide.
- Support the planning, coordination, and oversight of operational materials and products for worldwide DoD use.
- Draft sections and integrate data into PR products, maintaining and updating existing products as directed.
- Manage and coordinate the J3 and Agency calendars, update task lists, and brief leadership on upcoming events and deadlines to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Plan and lead key battle rhythm events, including weekly J3 and Agency meetings, by coordinating logistics, preparing briefing materials, and producing meeting minutes.
- Develop and present weekly PowerPoint slides for the Director's synchronization meetings and update the weekly activity report (WAR).
- Coordinate and lead monthly Personnel Recovery (PR) meetings, consolidating briefing slides from various stakeholders and producing meeting minutes.
- Plan and execute the annual 5-day Personnel Recovery (PR) working group, which includes securing off-site locations, developing official messages, building agendas, and coordinating with allied partners.
- Provide comprehensive support for senior-level meetings, such as the General Officer Steering Committee (GOSC) and Executive Steering Committee (ESC), by tracking attendees, managing calendars, and summarizing key conclusions.
- Maintain the SharePoint portal and Personnel Recovery (PR) Case database. Collect, input, and report on data related to PR cases to facilitate the transition of information into lessons learned.
- Coordinate and track information across various directorates, headquarters, and government agencies to ensure a seamless flow of information to J3 Operations and JPRA.
- Interact with the DoD, the Joint Staff, and other agencies to support the development and implementation of Personnel Recovery (PR) programs.
- Assist with a variety of administrative and logistical tasks, including managing Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) messages and coordinating passports.
- Prepare essential materials for meetings and briefings, including read-ahead packets and briefing slides.
- Process and manage access requests as needed to support operational requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 5 or more years of professional experience in an administrative, operational, or logistical support role.
- Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret US Government clearance.
- Experience managing event logistics, knowledge management systems, and administrative support for complex programs.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Proven Command Post experience (operational JOC or TOC experienced planner or operator).
- Possess the ability to adjust and adapt to changing requirements and deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief all organizational levels.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing requirements and deadlines.
- Familiarity with SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a Joint Staff environment, structure and functions, particularly J-7 and its initiatives.
- Graduation from a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) Academy or a Service/Joint Command & Staff school.
