Role Definition
- Compiles and analyzes data and inputs into property tax software for tax compliance, tax payments, and tax invoicing to lessees.
Responsibilities
- Compiling and processing data utilizing tax software.
- Helping business partners understand the results of property tax invoices.
- Researching and monitoring local property tax regulations.
Skill Required:
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Teamwork: Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork; experience with; ability to work cooperatively towards shared goals and being supportive of others at all levels.
- Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
- Tax Management: Knowledge of tax laws, organizational tax practices, obligations; ability to manage organization tax related issues.
- Tax Operations: Knowledge of tax practices and regulations; ability to prepare and file federal, state and local tax returns.
- Tax Regulations: Knowledge of federal, state and local tax procedures and regulations; ability to adhere to tax regulations when filing forms as they pertain to a particular business or industry.
Top Candidates Will Bring:
- Hands-On Experience with PTMS or Similar Tax Software Proficient in using property tax management systems to streamline filings, track assessments, and manage compliance efficiently.
- Practical Property Tax Expertise Demonstrated working knowledge of property tax regulations and has applied this in real-world scenarios to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Collaborative, Team-Oriented Mindset Committed to supporting colleagues and internal stakeholders, with a customer-focused approach and a willingness to share knowledge and lend a hand.
- Strong and Responsive Communicator Communicates clearly, professionally, and promptly with both internal teams and external partners—ensuring alignment, transparency, and trust throughout the tax cycle.
Additional information:
- This position requires the successful candidate to work full time, 5 days per week in the Nashville main office.

Summary Pay Range:
$28.06 - $96,144.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
