Role Definition:
- Provides timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting as directed by management with limited supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
- Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
- Performing balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
- Creating and utilizing automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial results.
Skill Required:
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
- Financial Record Keeping: Knowledge of financial record keeping processes, methods, and tools; ability to maintain accurate and thorough records of financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

- Proficiency in Oracle-Based Systems Demonstrates hands-on experience navigating and leveraging Oracle ERP platforms to streamline and execute closing activities efficiently.
- Strong Consolidations Expertise Skilled in managing complex multi-entity consolidations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across diverse business units.
- Applied Knowledge of US GAAP Brings a deep understanding of US GAAP principles with a proven ability to apply them practically in day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
- Intellectual Curiosity Shows a genuine drive to understand the “why” behind processes and numbers—constantly seeking ways to improve, learn, and add value beyond the basics.
- Self-Starter Mentality Operates with autonomy and initiative, taking ownership of tasks and proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement or risk mitigation.
Additional information:
- This position requires the successful candidate to work full time, 5 days per week in the Nashville main office.

Summary Pay Range:
$92,880.00 - $160,788.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
