What does a successful Domestic Tax Analyst do?
As a Domestic Tax Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our federal, state, and local tax filings. You will be part of our Domestic Tax Operations team, working collaboratively to meet crucial deadlines, support strategic tax planning, and leverage technology to drive efficiency and precision. We are seeking a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional financial services.
What you will do:
- Prepare U.S. federal income tax filings, including annual returns, extensions, and quarterly estimates for our corporate and partnership entities.
- Assist with the calculation and analysis of permanent and temporary tax adjustments for quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision processes.
- Identify, analyze, and document return-to-provision deviations, including pre-tax income reconciliations.
- Calculate current income tax payable roll forward schedules, reconciling to general ledger tax accounts.
- Prepare state and local income and franchise tax returns for corporate and partnership entities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation for calculations and tax positions throughout the compliance process.
- Assist with state and local tax audits, tax apportionment calculations, and controversy, including drafting responses to IDRs and coordinating with state and local auditors
What you will need to have:
- 2+ years of experience in-house or public accounting focused on federal / state tax compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
What would be great to have:
- Proficiency in Excel and OneSource (OIT & OTP).
- Experience with Alteryx, Power Query, and SAP is a plus.
- CPA or MST
