What does a successful Specialist, Statistical Analysis do at Fiserv?
Fiserv is looking for a talented specialist who plays a crucial role in an organization by leveraging their skills and expertise to extract valuable insights from data, enabling data-driven decision-making and contributing to the organization's success. Using product knowledge, subject matter expertise and technical skills, you will provide the highest level of service to resolve the client/customer's issues.
What you will do:
- Drive new business engagements with clients and grow existing client engagements.
- Liaison with the client to understand business problem, processes, and implementation challenge.
- Leverage data to analyze the business unit function, identify the business drivers and recommend strategy and future course of actions.
- Manage end to end delivery including requirement gathering, solution design and business recommendation. Work closely with statisticians to develop solution framework - Identify statistical techniques, implementation mechanism, tracking campaigns and pilots.
- Conceptualize modeling framework, define data requirement, create predictive variables and co-ordinate model implementation with other business partners, and create experimental designs to understand drivers of business performance.
- Should have domain expertise in the banking and risk domain to shape the solution framework and developing business strategies to drive incremental value to the business.
- Should have expertise in advanced statistical techniques to validate the model outcomes generated by the statisticians and align it with the business needs and implementation plan.
- Develop analytics proof of concepts on emerging trends in banking areas to develop new analytical products for Fiserv.
- Collaborate with the model development team to provide feedback and recommendations for model improvements based on validation results.
- Communicate validation findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and through written reports or presentations.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics/mathematics or equivalent qualification.
- 5-8 years of experience in solving business problems by applying advanced statistics.
- Expertise in developing business presentations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
What would be great to have:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS, and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Solid understanding hypothesis testing, and validation methodologies.
- Experience with data manipulation, feature engineering, and data preprocessing techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques to present validation results in a clear and meaningful way.
